Liked the fit

Ordered a pair of the Lifa Merino Midweight Pants a few weeks ago for a trip. They fit pretty true to size, which is always nice when you're buying online. The material felt good, not scratchy or anything. I also signed up for their newsletter before buying and got a little extra off, which was a nice surprise. No complaints here, came pretty quick too.

Good deal on jacket

I got the Seven J Jacket during one of their sales. It was about 40% off the usual price, which felt like a solid saving. Shipping was free because the order was over a hundred bucks. Took maybe 6 days to get to me. Overall, good value for what I paid.

Thinking of getting one of their ski jackets, but really torn between Helly Hansen and Arc'teryx. For actual skiing, is the Helly Hansen gear really that much better or is it mostly just brand hype?

I've got a Helly Hansen jacket and it's been solid for skiing, especially for staying dry. My buddy has an Arc'teryx and honestly, they both seem super good. Maybe Arc'teryx is slightly lighter sometimes?

Depends on the specific jacket really. I used to be all Arc'teryx but Helly Hansen's top-tier stuff, especially their Odin series, seriously competes. They pioneered waterproof fabrics, so they know their stuff. I'd check reviews for the specific models you're eyeing.
